More Christmas Craftiness

Sewing Machine

The other day I posted tons of pictures of my canning stuff. Well, this batch will be a lot smaller since for some reason I didn’t get it together enough to take gorgeous portraits of my other handmade stuff. In fact, I even handed over a broomstick lace scarf to a friend with the disclaimer that she’d have to weave the last four ends in because I lost my crochet hook. Oh, yes. This is how organized I am. If it were me, I’d probably just leave the ends hanging.

I do have a few pics to share, and more importantly the pattern links. I don’t think I mentioned that that’s my main goal for these types of posts. There are so many great patterns and recipes on the internet that sometimes I feel I can’t contribute anything better than what’s already been done. I’m going to try my damnedest though. And in the mean time, you can take a look at my interpretations of patterns from these talented bloggers.

Noodlehead is one of my favorite places to find sewing tutorials. Seriously, I’m thinking of making my New Year’s Resolution to try every last one of her tutorials. I already made one of these for myself earlier in the year with the pockets and everything, but I made this one plain and I like it even more. I might need to make a double for me…

I don’t always love how my projects turn out, but I LOVE this one. It’s incredibly useful. The long zipper makes it easy to fit a lot of stuff in and then actually see everything you crammed in it later. In fact, I liked it so much I made one for another friend.

My friend left early for break to visit family in Mexico. I had this cute “It’s A Small World” vibe fabric laying around for about a year waiting for the perfect project and decided it would go perfectly with the travel organizer. Voila! Unfortunately, I chopped the Mexican boy in two. Pobrecito.

I made a few other things, but as mentioned I didn’t get pics or they didn’t have patterns. So you’ll have to do without. Sorry.

Did you make anything from a pattern you love for the holidays?

@PrettyModern Thanks for offering the tutorial! I love how yours is lined. I makes it look so much more finished than the unlined versions.
