Smithing on a Saturday

24 Feb

I was ready to blog about the Firefall (it was spectacular,) but my Saturday took a bit of an unexpected turn.

I sauntered over to my neighbor’s house to see a blacksmithing demonstration and before I knew what was happening I had tongs in my hand.

After many steps and hours of swinging a hammer I had something functional, if a little lopsided:

(Mine is on the left.)

All hail Gadwall the Wizard: opener of beverages!

And because all of this wasn’t amazing enough, sunset happened.

Seriously, how is this my life?

P.S. If you know anyone who has a bottle they would like to be opened I would be happy to help.

P.P.S I am already contemplating going to a blacksmithing conference. Because, you know, I don’t have enough hobbies already.

P.P.P.S. I had to type this entire post with my left hand because my right arm is about to fall off.

The feeling of the arm about to fall off–Yeah, it’ll do that to you 😛 Nice work though for your first piece!
